Monozygotic twins with concordant female-to-male gender dysphoria with different temperament characteristics: a case report

Gender Dysphoria (GD) is defined as a marked incongruence between one’s experienced/expressed gender and assigned that the individual feels strong desire for having sex characteristics of other gender. Twin studies could be helpful in making decisive conclusion on relative role genetics environment GD. Therefore, we hereby present case monozygotic twins with concordant female-to-male Seventeen-year-old are introduced this report. The second pair attended to our clinic psychiatric evaluation. She was suffering from GD by overwhelmed masculine features, wearing their cloths, at same time revolting being girl. Although she preferred spending male friends, sexually attracted females. first had similar GD, presented apposite temperament. While temperament has been considered genetically inherited, incidence cases different temperaments raises question about genetic inheriting Further twin will help understanding extent influence these features.
